Seventh P-Max tanker delivered to Croatia's Brodosplit Shipyard

Stena Poseidon

Croatia's Brodosplit Shipyard has delivered the 65,200dwt P-Max-class LR1 tanker Stena Progress to Concordia Maritime of Sweden.

The 182.9m by 40m vessel is the seventh in a series of ten sisterships being built by the yard, each fitted with ten epoxy-coated tanks to provide a total cargo capacity of 70,200m3.

A service speed of 14.5 knots is produced by twin MAN B&W 6S46MC-C main engines.

The P-Max series has been designed for maximum loading capacity in shallow waters by virtue of its post-Panamax beam and features double main engines in separate engine rooms, as well as double rudders and redundant steering gear.

The final three ships will be completed by Brodosplit this year.
